Our backing fabric comes in widths from 60" to 120" wide, and ranges in price from $9 to $20.95 per yard. The wide backing materials lend themselves nicely to the longarm machines. With no seams to pull and no time spent piecing the back, you will have this quilt done and be onto your next project.

Purchasing wide-backing material is very economical compared to regular-width material.

If you were making a queen-size Yellow Brick Road by Terry Atkinson Designs, the pattern calls for 8.5 yards of 44" fabric for the backing. If your were purchasing this fabric from a quilt shop at $9 per yard, you would pay $76.50 for your backing.

If purchased 108" wide backing material, you would only have to buy 2.75 yards. At even our most exspensive fabric, your backing costs would only be $57.48, saving you $20.00. WOW! Now you can buy more fabric!
